An unusual name for a wine as its origin lies in the native gums that thrive in the forests throughout Victoria's Pyrenees region. Known to the locals as Fiddlebacks, these trees are prised for their characteristic wavy grain. Taltarni Fiddleback Shiraz Cabernet - dark blood plum red. An array of cherry, raspberry and dark berry fruits with a whisper of subtle roasted coffee, complimented by oak. The palate has rounded, soft fruit flavours and an attractive middle palate, medium bodied. Taltarni Fiddleback Sauvignon Blanc Semillon - beautiful bright with green hints. A fresh summer wine with a fruity front palate and a refreshing flavour length. Taltarni Brut - a pale straw colour with a fine mousse and bubbles. Attractive nose, elegant with a nice balanced complexity from the combination of citrus and nougat nuances. The palate is fresh and vivacious with crisp apple and light red berry flavours. A creamy mid-palate and crisp finish. |
