Summer is well and truly here and the crowds are returning, sitting under the shade of our large umbrellas at SuperBrand Mall, Lujiazui, Pudong, Shanghai having coffee Australian style, listening to DownUnder music. Only last season, we opened our stores (2) and soon a 3rd - location still a secret. This is Shanghai - very competitive and fast paced. Shanghainese either like you and your offering or they will just avoid the place.

So what is the meaning of "DownUnder", most locals would ask? Of course, we Aussies, Kiwis, Brits and many from the west will know it to mean "the land down under", that is AUSTRALIA. So the DownUnder CoffeeBar means Australian CoffeeBar - the place to meet and experience Australia.

The next question is - so how do we experience Australia? Never been there? But most will know Australia as the best country to live - relaxed, no stress, big spaces, clean air, kangaroos, Sydney Opera House, Melbourne, Gold Coast, koalas and Olympic Games

And Oh Yes, the coffee is great... Aha, so DownUnder is about getting coffee from Australia to China. Wow, that's really something but how are you going to compete with Starbucks, they ask? Make better coffee and offer Australian wine and beer! At reasonable prices. OK! Gotcha....
